MRS Environmental has an outstanding record of success in preparing California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documents for complex and controversial projects. In 1984, we established an office in Santa Barbara with a primary emphasis on CEQA/NEPA analysis. Our consultants have worked together to prepare more than 100 Environmental Impact Reports (EIRs) and/or Environmental Impact Statements (EISs) and related technical studies during the past 30 years.
All the CEQA/NEPA documents prepared by MRS Environmental have been certified and legally upheld when challenged.
MRS Environmental currently holds contracts with the following agencies to provide CEQA support services and special environmental studies:
- Santa Barbara County Air Pollution Control District
- County of Santa Barbara Planning and Development Department, and the
- California State Lands Commission
MRS Environmental has an outstanding ability to manage CEQA/NEPA projects. This is very evident from our track record with previous CEQA/NEPA projects. We have managed some of the most complex and controversial environmental review projects within the State of California. MRS Environmental has managed the preparation of EIRs for many state and local agencies including the County of San Luis Obispo, the County of Santa Barbara, the California Coastal Commission, and the South Coast Air Quality Management District.
With regard to EISs, MRS Environmental has led projects for many federal agencies including the Minerals Management Service, the Bureau of Land Management, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, and the Army Corps of Engineers.
